There are some amazing budget combos this year! 3 brands have really stepped up and created amazing options for anglers looking to spend $50 on a rod or reel. We applaud these brands for making affordable gear for both entry level bass fisherman and anglers on a budget. If you’re looking for the best “bang for the buck” in budget bass fishing, look no further than today’s buyer’s guide.
The past year has shown a real swing in the market. More and more brands are recognizing the influx of junior high through college anglers and are building equipment geared toward them. 3 of these brands really stand out with excellent gear for the price. In today’s video we did not pair up each combo. Instead, we focused on 3 casting rods, 2 spinning rods, 2 spinning reels, and 1 casting reel.
As more companies come on board with high quality gear at an entry level price our selections will grow but for 2019, these are the items that are worth investing in. Below you will find links to all of the gear. The links go direct to Tackle Warehouse where you can find detailed descriptions of each item. Additionally, we included some of our favorite models from each line of rods.

Could this be the best Surf Fishing AND Jetty rod? The first review on this rod! on youtube! It has all the high end components, the high end actions, at an affordable price. Can this surf fishing rod be the best rod on the market, especially due to its price? I have been waiting for this surf fishing rod for a long time, and it has barely been released. This rod has the potential to be the best surf fishing rig.

If you have a standard spin reel that doesn’t have a bait feeder or bait runner function you can still target big snapper straylining on the wharf, rocks or boat. The key is to let the fish run.
Kaleb Cave (Outdoor Adventures with KZ) shows Mandy Kupenga from Fishing Advisor the technique he uses to catch bigger snapper on a standard spin reel. It’s easy as but can make all the difference.
